Before being named co-CEO, Sean served as GA Foods Vice President of Sales and Marketing, overseeing all GA Foods markets, including managed care, military, child nutrition, emergency response, and community nutrition. Sean’s passion for innovation and customer service excellence is at the forefront of GA Foods family-owned organization. When not working, Sean’s hobbies are focused on his family and sharing their love for the outdoors, and he can often be found at a close friend’s ranch with their horses.

Debra has more than 30 years of experience in Healthcare Compliance and Privacy. She has extensive experience working with state and federal regulatory agencies, such CMS, the FDA, and OSHA. She also successfully led a Joint Commission Accreditation and Standards Homecare Program for more than 15 years. Debra is experienced in drafting, negotiating, and managing healthcare contracts with Medicare Advantage and Managed Medicaid Plans.

Carolina Jantac, MS, RD, LD is a dedicated Registered Dietitian and the Director of Clinical Nutrition at GA Foods. With over four years of experience at the company, she has played a pivotal role in developing and expanding the successful medical nutrition therapy program, which complements their medically tailored meal offerings. Carolina’s academic background is rooted in excellence. She earned her master’s degree from the University of Florida, where her studies focused on human nutrition with a specific emphasis on Vitamin B6 research. Her commitment to advancing nutritional science is evident in her published research in the esteemed Journal of Nutrition.

Alexandria is a Registered Dietitian and the Senior Product Manager at GA Foods. She has been with the company for over 4 years, growing within the Nutrition Department. Alexandria has dabbled in clinical work but found her passion in the food industry. She aims to continue innovating in meal deliveries and meeting consumer demand in healthful food trends. She is adaptable, task-oriented, and enjoys working in a cross-functional team. Aside from being a steadfast booklover, Alexandria considers herself a hobby hopper and loves to explore new activities with her husband and three young children.

Uriel joined GA Foods in 2020 and serves as the Vice President of Human Resources. With over 13 years of professional experience in Human Resources and more than 10 years in the manufacturing industry—specializing in Food and Beverage—Uriel brings a partnership-driven approach to people operations. As the head of the department, Uriel is responsible for aligning the organization’s HR strategy with business goals, developing talent, succession planning, fostering an inclusive culture, managing HR compliance and HR legal matters, coaching the executive team, leading change management initiatives, and more. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, a master’s degree in Strategic Leadership, and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.

Wendy Elgebaly is the Corporate Controller of GA Foods and has been with GA Foods 8 years in total, growing within the accounting department. Wendy oversees the Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and the Master Data teams. Wendy commits to excellence while supporting the GA Foods team, aligning with company goals, and striving for excellent client focus. Accounting is not a passion for many, but Wendy fell into the manufacturing environment and has found an environment that she enjoys. Working collaboratively with other departments at GA Foods is a valuable resource that helps accounting to achieve internal efficiencies while focusing on client needs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance.

Chef Michael Thrash is a seasoned culinary expert based in Seminole, FL, currently serving as the Corporate Executive Chef for GA Foods in St. Petersburg, FL. Michael’s culinary journey began in Rochester, NY, where he grew up in a large family of talented cooks, including his mother, whose exceptional skills inspired his passion for food at a young age. Driven by the realization that cooking could be a career, he entered the industry early, starting as a dishwasher and busboy. His enthusiasm and talent quickly grew, leading him to refine his skills through vocational Culinary Arts classes during high school. A graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI, Michael earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Culinary Arts. With over 23 years of experience spanning nine states, his career encompasses an impressive variety of roles in restaurants, fine dining establishments, luxury hotels, private country clubs, higher education, and corporate environments. Michael has worked with renowned organizations such as Simplot, GA Foods, Boston University (Aramark), Disney, Loews Hotels, Legal Sea Foods, and Hard Rock International. Adding to his extensive experience, he served as a Chef Instructor at the Art Institute of Tampa for seven years, sharing his knowledge and passion with aspiring chefs.

Lou Hurd
Lou became part of GA Foods in 2006 and is currently the Vice President of Operations. Before assuming this role, he held positions as Senior Director of Operations and Plant Manager. With over 30 years of experience in manufacturing and operations, particularly in the food manufacturing sector, Lou brings extensive expertise. Prior to joining GA Foods, he worked as Plant Manager and Maintenance Manager at other food manufacturing companies. At GA Foods, Lou oversees all operational areas, including plant operations, distribution, and logistics. Managing operations across more than 30 states, he and his team ensure that the food is produced to the highest standards of taste and quality, while also ensuring timely delivery with care and dedication to those we serve.
